There comes a time in every life
to set the pain aside;
to shine a light upon its scar
and cease to run and hide.

Anger and shame can't change the past
or alter a memory.
Only the love of your Heavenly Father
will truly set you free.

He will stand beside you through life's trials.
knowing your hopes and fears.
He waits for you to call His name
so He can dry your tears.

Reach out for the blessing of freedom
bestowed by the Lord above.
He sends it special delivery
to all who ask for His love.

If you would like to receive it,
just bow your head and pray,
Oh, Dear Heavenly Father,
I need your help today.

And once you ask, He'll be right there
to cast away your sorrows;
He'll grant you peace and joy and love
and share your bright tomorrows.

" Prayer should be the key of the day and the lock of the night."

" Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. " (Matthew 18:19-20)

" Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."(Mark 11:24)

" Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened." (Matthew 7:7 NASB)

" Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you: He will never allow the righteous to be shaken." (Psalm 55:22 NASB)

" Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (1Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV)

" TRIALS "
( A touching story...)

You perhaps recall the story of the blacksmith who gave his heart to God. Though conscientious in his living, still he was not prospering materially. In fact, it seems that from the time of his conversion more trouble, affliction and loss were sustained than ever before. Everything seemed to be going wrong.

One day a friend who was not a Christian stopped at the little gorge to talk to him. Sympathizing with him in some of his trials, the friend said "It seems strange to me that so much affliction should pass over you just at the time when you have become an earnest Christian. Of course, I don't want to weaken your faith in God or anything like that. But here you are, God's help and guidance, and yet things seem to be getting steadily worse. I can't help wondering why it is."

The blacksmith did not answer immediately, and it was evident that he had thought the same question before. But finally, he said "You see here the raw iron which I have to make into horse's shoes. You know what I do with it? I take a piece and heat it in the fire until it is red, almost white with the heat. Then I hammer it unmercifully to shape it as I know it should be shaped. Then I plunge it into a pail of cold water to temper it. Then I heat it again and hammer it some more. And this I do until it is finished."

"But sometimes I find a piece of iron that won't stand up under this treatment. The heat and the hammering and the cold water are too much for it. I don't know why it fails in the process, but I know it will never make a good horse's shoe."

He pointed to a heap of scrap iron that was near the door of his shop. "When I get a piece that cannot take the shape and temper, I throw it out on the scrap heap. It will never be good for anything."

He went on, "I know that God has been holding me in the fires of affliction and I have felt His hammer upon me. But I don't mind, if only He can bring me to what I should be. And so, in all these hard things my prayer is simply this: Try me in any way you wish, Lord, only don't throw me on the scrap heap."

" According to your faith will it be done to you." (Matthew 9:29 NIV)

(GOD Shall Be...)

My HOPE, My Stay, My Guide, And a lantern to my feet !

" Prayer is knocking at the door; faith is the expectation that it will be opened."

Learning to wait upon God
Is, sometimes, a challenge in our lives.
Jesus is always there, behind every storm cloud.
He gave us new life, and took away sin and strife.

When you feel the answer is delayed,
Don't you ever give up or despair.
God has heard your prayers and will answer.
He knows every problem. He'll always be there.

Wait and receive, in the timing of our God.
For everything in life, there is a season.
He Word tells us He is with us at all times.
For every delay to prayers, there is always a reason.

Look to the Lord and trust him, completely.
Know that His promises are faithful and true.
As by faith you go forward and rest in his word,
He will always be there with his love for you...

" PRAY, AND DO NOT LOSE HEART "
(A DEVOTIONAL...)

One of the main purposes of Faith is to bring us into direct, personal, and vital contact with God. When people pray, they are exhibiting an awareness of their helpless need and acknowledging that there is adequacy in prayer. Even though God knows all of our daily needs, our praying for them changes our attitude from complaints and criticism to praise. It permits us to participate in God's personal plan for our lives.

All throughout scripture there are given examples of where and how to pray. In (1 Thessalonians 5:17) , we are told to pray withour ceasing because we have plenty of reasons to continually to be in prayer.

" Call upon me in the day or trouble, I will deliver you."
(Psalm 50:15)

" Pour out your hearts to Him, For God is our refuge."
(Psalm 62:8)

" Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near." (Isaiah 55:6)

" Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7)

In(Luke 18:1), Jesus was teaching His disciples through a parable to "show them that they should always pray and not give up." The disciples should not be discouraged because answers do not come immediately. Oh, how we have learned this through fervent prayers for our trials, burdens in life, for friends and loved ones, for peace, illnesses, finances, patience, etc...

Sometimes we want immediate healing or for God to answer us quickly somehow. But God's timetable and His perfect timing to answer us and to deliver us is much different than our own.

Yes God heals the sick, gives hope to the suffering, the lost, and the needy. For He is to be praised at all times.

From the very beginning we claimed (John 11:4) as our them verse. "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's son may be glorified through it." What amazing peace we received when we turn a dramatic situation or trial over to God.We can trust God for everything- yes, even our fragile lives.
God has our personal interests in His command. We should have complete faith and trust in Him.

There is a quote that says. " Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever."...Prayer helps us establish this pupose of life for us I believe. Without this we would have a holy God but no reason for why we are here on earth. For Heaven is our destination. As believers we have salvation and a new life in Christ Jesus.

If we are to live meaningful lives we only have two commands that Jesus gave His disciples in (Luke 18:1). We are to pray and not lose Heart. Around us are a Father's arms, and we are to cry out to Him because, in Jesus, His voice has already called out to us. We are to answer like children crying out to their father. Because, like children, we do not always know what is wrong with us.

When we face the many pressures of life, there is only one way out- we are to pray. Prayer is our way to the place of power; it is the way to certain solutions of our problem. Yes- it's an answer to all of our unbearable pressures. Prayer is crying out to our gracious God we cannot see but whom we rely upon, a Father with a father's loving Heart and a father's tender compassion and willingness to act.

PRAYERS ALWAYS STIRS THE HEART OF GOD !!!

Prayers do move God to act according to His will for our lives and in His perfect timing.

Yes infact at times the answer to a prayer may indeed be long delayed, but there is no delay at all in an answer to prayer itself. We must be patient in the Lord and thank Him in advance and believing our prayers have been already answered. When we cry out there is immediately an answer- speedily God rushes to help.

The answer may be the squeeze of the Father's hand on ours, the quiet comfort of the Father's gentle voice, the reassurance of the Father's presence even though the stresses, the worries, the fears, the pain, and the pressures of life are still evident.Friends who care, who pray for us, and who comfort us during our trials are God's way or showing His unfailing Love too.Friends may be infact angels unaware from the heavens above.

My dear friends I share my faith with Y'all because not only am I your brother in Christ for eternity, a friend for life, a child of God, but most importantly I Love Y'all unconditonally and from my Heart in Christ.

Even with my last breath I will lift my prayers unto the Lord for His peace to prevail in all of our lives.May the Heavens open up and shine down God's glory, grace, and mercy on us all. There's one thing I do know is that God tells us to pray not in one place; not in one position; nor in any pattern. I've truly learned to pray in many forms, positions, locations, for all people, and at all times. I just want to be obedient to God's command - and that is to always be in prayer with all of my Heart !

I hope many of you will do the same during your quiet time being still before the Lord.

" I pray without ceasing now. My personal prayer is:

Make me an instrument which only truth can speak."

(Prayer Devotion...)

" Keep On Asking"

READ: Luke 11:1-13

" I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you." (Luke 11:9

I heard a woman say that she never prayed more than once for anything. She didn't want to weary God with her repeated requests.

The Lord's teaching on prayer in Luke 11 contradicts this notion. He told a parable about a man who went to his friend's house at midnight and asked for some bread to feed his unexpected visitors. At first the friend refused, for he and his family were in bed. Finally he got up and gave him the bread-not out of friendship but because the caller was so persistent (vv.5-10).

Jesus used this parable to contrast this reluctant friend with our generous heavenly Father. If an irritated neighbor will give in to his friend's persistence and grant his request, how much more readily will our heavenly Father give us all we need!

It's true that God, in His great wisdom, may sometimes delay His answers to prayer. It's also true that we must pray in harmony with the Scriptures and God's will. But Jesus moved beyond those facts to urge us to persist in prayer. He told us to ask, seek, and knock until the answer comes (v.9).

" So don't worry about wearying God. He will never tire of your persistent prayer ! "

Don't think true prayer escapes God's ears,
He hears your every plea;

Though hope's deferred, believe-believe!
The answer you will see.
God never tires of our asking....

Jesus Loves You

Always Remember at Heart that :::

Blessings come in many disguises
That God alone in Love devises,
And sickness which we dread so much
Can bring a very healing touch-
For often on the wings of pain
The peace we sought before the vain
Will come to us with sweet surprise
For God is merciful and wise-
And through longs hours of tribulation
God gives us time for meditation,
And no sickness can be counted a loss
That teaches us to bear our cross !

" THE POWER OF PRAYER "

Prayer is our communion with God, whether it be a petition made to God, worship, repentance, praise, or thanksgiving. It doesn't have to be a laid-out patent prayer, but words from the heart. God wants all of us, he knows our minds and hearts, so why not talk to him as if he already knows the situation.

(Mark 11:24) " Therefore I say unto you , What things soever ye desire, when ye pray , believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them]."

Desires of the heart should be those that will glorify God, not necessarily the human desires we have to make our life better.

God knows each thought we have, so why not go to HIM and talk with him as you would if you were to meet him on the street. Prayers do not have to be long, drawn out affairs, but we need to be precise in what we are asking, and ask according to the bible rather than asking blindly for what we want. If it glorifies the Lord, then it will be something good for us. If it does not, then we shouldn't be asking for it in our prayers.

" If I ride the morning winds to the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me." (Psalm 139:9)

" If you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more." (Matthew 21:21)

" Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. " (Psalm 27:14)

" Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." (James 4:8)

" TREASURE LIFE "
( Something to think about...)

Yesterday I was on my way to picking up my children. I was remembering someone I lost and the pain it caused me.

I stopped at a traffic light. There was this man who fell off his bike in the middle of the road. He was carrying two huge bags filled with clothes. I assumed he was carrying all his possessions.

He struggled to get up and finally managed to pick up his bike. People would walk by him and cars would just go around him. As I was about to get out of my car to help him, this kind man jumped out of his car. He helped him with his belongings and placed them on the sidewalk.

The man still struggled to get on the bike and carry those two huge bags.

I looked at him with intense sadness. I saw him stop and put his head down. In that moment I felt his pain. I knew what he was feeling. He was struggling to take hold of a situation, but couldn't. He felt helpless, discouraged and alone. I felt connected to him. Although our lives were different, we both knew what true suffering is.

I will never forget that man. He helped me remember to be thankful that I had a car to take me home, that my clothes were safely folded in my bedroom dresser, that I had a secure place to lay my head, that I was not alone, that I have the love of my children, friends and family, that even though there has been great loses and suffering in my life, there has also been great accomplishments.

He reminded me to be grateful and never take the slightest thing for granted. He reminded me how fortunate I am and how loved I am...

" The Answer Is On The Way "

( Something to think about...)

Has it ever seemed to you that the "Heavens are as brass"- that as your prayers go up, they hit the ceiling and come crashing down again? Maybe you have been waiting and waiting and waiting to hear from God about a particular circumstance or situation, but the answer is nowhere in sight. Is God just too busy? Has He forgotten you? Is He even listening? Does He truly care?

The book of Daniel gives us a startling insight- an amazing behind the scenes look at what goes on when we pray.We can see why sometimes the answers take so long to come our way. In chapter 10 we learn that the prophet Daniel had been fasting and praying for three long weks, urgently seeking a word from the Lord. It was one of those critical situations where time is of the essence. Why was there no answer?

Suddenly an angel appeared, saying, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them."
The angel goes on to explain, "But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me..."(Daniel 10:13 NLT). An epic battle had taken place. Now that the way was clear and the messenger free, Daniel would receive the answer he had been waiting for.His patience and faith on the Lord was the key.

In Ephesians 6 the apostle Paul reminds us of something we often forget-something that is hard for us to truly comprehend: There are spiritual forces at work in the heavenly realms. There is an unseen battle going on all around us every day.Satan tries to distant ourselves from God and He fills our minds with negative things.Do remind the enemy that Jesus is our Lord, Savior, and our hope.

It is good to center your Heart on the Lord and seek His strength, wisdom, and guidance in all things." In the light, the darkness will fade away."Put on the full armor of God every morning and pray for deliverance of all temptations and the evil desires of our Hearts.Life is a test of our faith and God is building our character to be more like Jesus.Life on earth, the trials we endure as humans, is a preparation for our eternal life in Heaven as believers. When our Hearts are ready God will call us home !!!

We can't be fainthearted or eaily discouraged when our requests aren't instantly granted. We may be right on the verge of a breakthrough- if we press in and persevere in prayer. It could be that the answer is already on the way...

" For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised."
(Hebrews 10:36 NASB)

" I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4:7 KJV)

" IN THE HANDS OF GOD "
( A poem...)

Sometimes we must be hurt
in order to grow,
we must fail in order to know,
we must lose in order to gain.
Some lessons are learned best
only through pain.

Sometimes our vision clears only
after our eyes are washed with tears.
Sometimes we have to be broken
so we can be tender; sick, so we
can rest and think better on things
more important than work or fun.
Trip near death, so we can
assess how we've ran.
Sometimes we have to suffer lack
so we can know God's provisions,
feel another's pain,
so we can have a sense of mission.

So take heart my friend,
If you don't understand today,
Instead of grumbling,
ask God what he means to say.
In order to learn, you must endure
and learn to see the bigger picture.
In order to grow, you must stand.
Look beyond the hurt, to God's loving
hands that takes what is good
And give what is best.

And on this blessed thought rest, as
your anxious heart with questions wait.
God's hand only gives
what his loving heart dictates !

" Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31 NIV)

" The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
(Psalm 27:1 KJV)

" But if we look forward to something we don't have yet, we must wait patiently and confidently." (Romans 8:25 NLT)

For truly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, "Move from here to there" and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you.(Matthew 17:20 NASB)

( A Prayer...)

Lord, I thank You for Your unfailing faithfulness. Because of Your kindness, I know I shall never be consumed. Because of Your compassion, I know I shall never be alone. Because of Your mercy, I shall always have hope. Every day as I quietly wait for Your direction, You shed new mercies on me. Every night, You give me portions of Your everlasting peace and unspeakable joy.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for always being with me. Help me grow more in faith and trust in You for all things.Give me your patience and let Your will be done in my life. For You O Lord are the solid rock on which I stand.

In Your name I pray, Amen !!!

"Under His Wings"
(Something to think about)

An article in National Geographic.. several years ago provided a penetrating picture of God's wings...

After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park.., forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage.

One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings.

The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies. When the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast. Because she had been willing to die, that those under the cover of her wings would live...

(Psalm 91:4) "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler."

It is such an encouragement for me to know that God has me covered with His mighty wings. Nothing that comes my way will have a chance to overtake or overcome my life because I have the king of kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ on my side. Praise the Lord for His goodness and protection for all those who put their trust in Him.

I encourage you to take refuge under the Master's wings. He is faithful to be with you and protect you from any vice and plan the enemy has come up with for your life...

~ BLESSINGS ~

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May His face shine upon you
and grant you great peace.

May He grant you His grace and blessing
all the days of your life
so that your every prayer intention
is heard before you ask
and accomplished before you speak.

May God grant you abundant faith,
persevering hope, and abiding charity
all the days of your life
so that in this life and the next
you may live in the presence
of the most Holy Trinity,
which is love and mercy itself.

Amen !

" The greatest thing one person can do for another is to pray for them. If at this moment you pray for someone, even though they may be on the other side of the globe, Lord Jesus will touch them with His healing hands."

How often, Lord, I've wanted life
to be as I preferred,
impatient to reach all my goals,
insisting I be heard.

How many times I questioned You,
embarking on a feat,
unwilling to be passenger,
but in the driver's seat.

How seldom I was patient
as I begged that life be calm,
not believing all along
that I was in Your palm.

How fast possessions slip away,
though often I would cling
to things thought safe instead of trusting
what Your will would bring.

Be with me, Lord, as I search for
another hill to climb.
I know rewards will come to me,
all in the Lord's due time !

The will of God will never take you,
Where the grace of God cannot keep you,
Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
Where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the Spirit of God cannot work through you,
Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you,
Where the army of God cannot protect you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the love of God cannot enfold you,
Where the mercies of God cannot sustain you,
Where the peace of God cannot calm your fears,
Where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears,
Where the Word of God cannot feed you,
Where the miracles of God cannot be done for you,
Where the omnipresence of God cannot find you.

"Everything happens for a purpose.
We may not see the wisdom of it all now
but trust and believe in the Lord
that everything is for the best."

I do love these inspirational posts. Clap

I used to start my day back on another board, first looking in the faith section for these.
Now...hopefully I can do that here. Smile

He's an apostate. Any man who will turncoat on the religion he was raised with is willing to do the same on a lot more.
